Graduates received degrees from OCU, OPU, and OMU. With all of the OMU graduates—the first in the history of the university—receiving thesis-based doctoral degrees. The ceremony was held with a minimal number of participants to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and was live-streamed online. President Masahiro Tatsumisago handed out each diploma individually, in front of the audience of vice presidents, deans, academic advisors, graduates, and other audience members who watched in person and online.
