The members are Tokyo Medical and Dental University (Institute of Biomaterials and Bioengineering) as the core of this project, Tokyo Institute of Technology (Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology, Hiroshima University (Research Institute for Nanodevice and Bio Systems) and us Shizuoka University (Research Institute of Electronics). This project aims for creating more innovative imaging system based on our extremely high-performance imaging devices and photon measurement technology, by combining those electronics, photonics and mechatronics researches for contribution to the development of biomaterials, medical devices and medical systems in Japan. Accordingly, the Institute plans, coordinates, and executes the cooperative research projects covering the basic researches, the technologies, and the systems in image field, inter-disciplinary fields and their integrated fields, in cooperation with distinguished domestic and foreign researchers. The research projects are characterized as location-free purpose-oriented projects, and are different from the conventional projects organized by shared-use-type Institutes and bound to large-scale equipment or facilities. The cooperative research projects should be planned with the collaborative efforts and knowledge of the participating researchers, who should actively contribute and pursue the project goals. This Invitation for project proposals and participation is extended to university faculties and government laboratories as well as to industrial research groups. Since the projects assume joint research with the Institute, each project should be proposed by a team of researchers including at least one member of the Institute and external participants. Please apply for Research Center for Biomedical Engineering in Tokyo Medical and Dental University (Institute of Biomaterials and Bioengineering). Guidelines for proposals and application forms can be downloaded from here.(c) Research Institute of Electronics, Shizuoka University. All Rights Reserved.
