Of course, the year had its share of challenges, but through tackling these challenges with the support of other JTW students and staff, we quickly became a tight-knit family. Throughout the year, JTW organized numerous, invaluable study trips that provided us opportunities to deeply encounter Japanese culture. Paired with the multitude of intriguing courses on different aspects of Japanese society, the host family experience and Japanese tutor/conversation partner program organized by JTW, I truly got to see and experience authentic Japan. Studying abroad in Japan was a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am so glad that I got to do it with JTW.
